What’s all this about?

October 9, 2007

To Vote or Not to Vote is a forum for two friends whose views on the upcoming presidential election stand opposed. Both friends describe themselves as being “left of center” and see many issues identically. Yet still they are miles apart on the political spectrum. One sees very little discernible difference between the announced policies of the “electable” Democratic candidates and the current administration, and feels that voting for president will not significantly alter the course or direction of the United States. The other believes that the right candidate can re-orient the country to its proper footing and break the status quo.

This is by no means a clear-cut issue, and is largely framed by ideology. The authors of this blog have little hope of changing each others’ minds, but want to put forth the best arguments they can. We hope you enjoy reading our endless banter.
